Abstract

Biosurfactants, amphiphilic compounds of microbial origin, have garnered significant attention due to their diverse functional properties and sustainable production methods. This mini review explores the multifunctional applications of biosurfactants across various industries. By highlighting their roles in emulsification, detergency, microbial enhancement, environmental remediation, and beyond, this paper emphasizes the versatility and potential of biosurfactants. The review also addresses the challenges and opportunities associated with biosurfactant utilization, offering insights into their future prospects as eco-friendly alternatives to synthetic surfactants. As society moves toward more sustainable practices, biosurfactants emerge as promising agents with wide-ranging benefits.
