This article discusses modern trends that are transforming translation education. It outlines how translation programs are increasingly making use of technology, adopting competence-based and student-centered approaches, contextualizing learning and integrating research training. Specifically, it examines how online courses, specialized translation software, authentic materials and collaboration tools are enhancing flexibility and practical skills. The shift toward developing well-rounded competencies through active, project-based learning and work placements is also covered. The article argues these changes are preparing student translators for today's technology-driven workplace demands.
