This thesis explores the didactic potential of the Pen Pals project in developing communicative competence among prospective teachers within contemporary digital educational environments. The study examines how structured online correspondence, intercultural interaction, and collaborative communication contribute to the improvement of linguistic, sociocultural, pragmatic, and digital communication skills. The research employs theoretical analysis, comparative interpretation, and pedagogical modeling to identify the educational mechanisms underlying Pen Pals activities. The findings suggest that integrating authentic communication tasks into teacher education can create favorable conditions for developing professional communication, intercultural sensitivity, reflective thinking, and learner autonomy.
