The article examines the role of internationalisation in the education system of Uzbekistan. Taking active steps towards integration with the world educational community, Uzbekistan uses different types of cooperation with foreign universities, introduces modern educational technologies and emphasises the importance of learning foreign languages through different programs like Erasmus plus. Internationalisation of education allows to prepare students for life in a world where intercultural interaction is becoming increasingly important, and also contributes to the development of the country in the international arena.
